On Easter People Power

In early 2023 in Auckland certain Posie Parker was drowned out by a crowd of over a thousand people and attacked with tomato juice. They called it people power.

Roughly 2,000 years ago on Easter in Jerusalem a crowd persuaded a cowardly governor to have the King of the Jews crucified. Perhaps they called it people power too.

I am not saying Posie Parker is the same as the King. On the contrary, they are very different. Alas, the people power remains the same … then and now.
