Early Summer Dives
Here are some footage snapshots from our recent early summer dives in Matheson Bay in Leigh and Tairua River on Coromandel Peninsula.
Buddies: Adam Poloha, Frans Lategan
Tu je zopár snímkov z videa z nedávnych ponorov v zátoke Matheson a v rieke Tairua.

Bright colors of clown nudibranch Ceratosoma amoenum on otherwise monotonous flat bottom. Výrazné farby nahožiabreho slimáka na inak monotónnom plochom dne.

Small eagle ray on sandy bottom. After it turned its back to us we realized it was an attack survivor. The tail was missing and one of its wings was shredded. Malá raja na pieskovom dne. Až keď sa k nám obrátila chrbtom, zistili sme, že prežila útok. Chvost jej chýbal úplne a jedno z krídel mala dotrhané.

Triggerfish (leatherjacket) Parika scaber and spotted wrasse Notolabrus celidotus enjoying sea urchin feast. Miestna papagájová ryba a “spotty” si pochutnávajú na ježovke.

Two large sea hares crawling up large boulders covered with hard pink coralline algae. Dva veľké morské zajace lezú po balvanoch pokrytých tvrdou ružovou riasou.

Frans spotted something interesting in a hole in the rock. Frans zbadal niečo zaujímavé v niektorej z dier v skale.

Group of Australasian snappers (Pagrus auratus) and spotties (Notolabrus celidotus) feeding on sea urchins. Ryby zvané “snaper” a “spotty” majú hostinu. Hlavným chodom sú ježovky.

Curious small freshwater eel approaching the camera on the bottom of Tairua River. Zvedaný malý sladkovodný úhor sa blíži pomedzi balvany ku kamere.

A large tree trunk and branches in Tairua River. Veľký strom a konáre ponorené v rieke Tairua.

A dog swimming in Tairua River. Hafan si pláva v rieke.
